Abstract:

What is the role of counter-terrorism warfare, and more generally of military intervention, in the genesis of so-called terrorist violence? This question was the subject of controversy in France in 2020. This symposium brings together contributions from specialists in the field. They do not share the same theoretical and methodological presuppositions, but they agree on one central idea: terrorism and counter-terrorism warfare are two segments of a single violent relationship.
